A Perfect "10"-Environmental Diagnostics Laboratory (EDLab)

Clearwater, FL, November 1, 2006 – Environmental Diagnostics Laboratory (EDLab), the in-house microbiology laboratory of Pure Air Control Services, received a perfect score (fungi and bacteria) on the Environmental Microbiology Proficiency Analytical Testing (EMPAT) Program, a performance evaluation sponsored by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) on rounds 27, 28, 29, 30. EDlab has become one the elite, premier laboratories in the world to achieve a 100% accuracy.

Regarded as one of the most important archaeological finds of the 20th century, the Terracotta Army has been damaged by exposure to outside air and mold growth since its discovery. Scientists in China and abroad are trying to find ways to preserve the Terracotta Army from complete deterioration.

Trio confirmed with Legionnaires'

The number of people confirmed with Legionnaires' disease after a war veterans' trip to Malaysia has risen. Three members of the 115-strong King's Own Scottish Borderers' party have been struck with the disease. One of the people affected is still in Malaysia, one is in Australia and the third in the Borders General Hospital. All three are said to be responding to treatment. Tests are being carried out on a fourth group member thought to have contracted the disease.
