Seniors set to battle Village of Wilmette over building repairs

The mood was anything but festive as senior citizens planned a party in Wilmette with a green theme and the unsettling name of Mold Fest. Trying to muster public sympathy, the residents of Village Green Atrium condominiums threw the party Saturday to protest the Village of Wilmette's refusal to help pay for repairs to the building, where years of neglect have resulted in mold and rotting, residents say.
