Mold/IAQ In Health Care Facilities

The state of Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (ACHA) issued a memo stating that ACHA was concerned that "undesired water intrusion for extended periods of time, with or without air conditioning generates conditions inside the facility that may erode indoor air quality and produce an environment that may be detrimental to patients, residents and health care providers from exposure to mold."

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Attorney Court B. Purdy and William M. Paoli, partners with the firm of Wentworth, Paoli & Purdy located in Newport Beach represented an Orange County family who became ill as a result of exposure to toxic mold and other biological contaminants in their home. Today, it was announced that the case has settled for a total of $392,500.00.
