HUD Requires Inspection for Mold and Radon

May, 2004 -- The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development released a "Radon and Mold Notice and Release Agreement". This released agreement, required for HUD home sales, must be attached to all sales contracts to make certain that radon and mold may cause health problems. HUD is encouraging homebuyers to have the property inspected for mold and radon prior to purchase.
