14 Hilton workers report mold illness

Stachybotrys Fourteen workers at Hilton Hawaiian Village's Kalia Tower reported health symptoms caused by exposure to mold in the tower, according to the expert hired by Hilton. Ten employees said they had irritation of the eye, throat and nose, two said they had skin rashes and two reported worsened asthma.

Over 150 people crowded into the Temple Terrace City Council chambers Monday night to attend a public hearing on mold. Steve Roddenberry, deputy director of the Florida Department of Insurance, acted as chairman of the hearing. In the course of nearly 4 hours, homeowners, insurance officials and industry professionals delivered testimony on the burgeoning problem of indoor mold.

Defines acceptable IAQ as an environment where 80% of occupants are not complaining

Relative Humidity should be maintained between 30% and 40%

AHUs and Fan Coil units should be accessible

Ventilation rate should be set so that 2000 ppm CO2 is not exceeded.
