House dust mites thrive in humid environments We spend more than half of our lives indoors and are exposed to a variety of pollutants that either originate from within our living/working environments or are brought in from outdoors. Control factors such as stringent mainintenance of HVAC systems and observance of recommended guidelines for temperature and relative humidity will minimize exposure to contaminants. Sampling will identify the types of contaminants occupants are exposed to and in what quantity they exist.
