Stachybotrys chartarum has been implicated as a cause of Building Related Illness


Stachybotrys chartarum

Although the hazards associated with exposure to some mycotoxins have been well studied, the health risks from environmental exposure to Stachybotrys remain poorly defined. This review critically evaluates the current body of epidemiologic knowledge regarding Stachybotrys and is aimed to increase physician awareness regarding this emerging environmental health issue.

Pure Air Control Services is very pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Vin Ghanekar to it's expert Building Diagnostics team. Dr. Ghanekar holds a Ph.D in chemistry and B.Che from Auburn Universtiy. He is currently assisting in projects which involve Microbial Remediation, IAQ Analytical Method Development, Spectroscopy, Chromotaography and more.  Dr. Ghanekar will be discussing expeditious mold remediation.
