National Healthy Schools Day, the first day of School
Building Week, and is being coordinated by the Healthy Schools Network in
cooperation with the U.S. EPA, the CEFPI Foundation & Charitable Trust, and
the national Coalition for Healthier Schools. It’s a day of nationally
coordinated local events celebrating healthy indoor environments for all
schools and all children. In 2007, there were more than 40 events in 20
states and the District of Columbia. Events included workshops on green
cleaning, High Performance School design, facility IAQ walk-throughs and
visits, petitions, city and state Legislative Resolutions, and much more.
