Tampa, FL – World renowned scientist Dr. A. B. Singh has joined the Pure Air Control Services Advisory Board to assist in helping develop methods of identifying indoor environmental contaminates. During his most recent visit this month, he conducted annual employee training for EDLab and Building Diagnostic Sciences, both divisions of Pure Air Controls Services.  Dr. Singh participated in EDLab’s annual lab review.    

Dr. Singh is best known for his scientific work related to airborne allergens such as pollen and fungi etc.  As a pioneering researcher, he documented the early efforts to identify aerosolized allergens.  He is currently working with the CSIR Institute of Genomics & Integrative Biology, Delhi, India while concurrently serving as a senior fellow of several prominent organizations including World Allergy Organization. Dr. Singh recently received the USDA sponsored Borlaug Fellowship. A certificate was awarded to Dr. Singh by Dr. Norman E Borlaug in Washington DC after successful completion of his research on allergen associated with transgenic food. Dr Borlaug was thewinner of the 1970 Nobel Peace Prize for his success in developing high-yielding wheat varieties and reversing severe food shortages that haunted India and Pakistan in the 1960's. Dr. A B Singh is also winner of several national and international awards including lifetime achievement award from Indian Aerobiological Society.
 
Dr. Singh has authored over 100 publications and guided several PhD students while being instrumental in establishing the health link between airborne contaminants and humans.  He has lead the effort for the first time in India to study the “air-borne allergen and human health” with all India co-coordinated project operated simultaneously over twenty five centers spared through out the country sponsored by the Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of India
