OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. -- Spots of dark mold are creeping down walls at a local extended stay hotel and customers say it's making them sick.
Residents took pictures at the Home Suite Home on West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Osceola County. Families said when they complained the mold was making them cough and sneeze, management tore through the wallpaper and used spray paint to cover the mold.
 
"They pulled the wallpaper off and it was all behind the wall, too," said Donald Patterson, a resident.
 
"They took white spray paint and sprayed it on the top of the ceiling. I said 'oh no, that's not fixing the mold,'" added Marea Patterson.
 
The hotel staff said they weren't aware of any unhappy customers, but residents said the problem is so bad that the mold grows on their clothes.
 
Several said they moved to the hotel because of financial troubles and couldn't find anywhere else to go.
