Thibodaux Students Moved After Mold Found
by WDSU.com
THIBODAUX, La. -- More than 160 students have been moved to alternate classrooms after nontoxic mold was found at Thibodaux Elementary, school officials said. A kind of mold called cladosporium began in two rooms, but the principal said neither of those held students when the mold was found. There also was penicillin in one room, according to a Lafourche School Board spokesman. When the mold spread to two more rooms, school officials moved the fourth- and fifth-graders to other sites. In a letter to parents, Lafourch Schools Superintendent Jo Ann Matthews said that while the mold species are nontoxic, they can trigger allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. http://www.wdsu.com/news/13925561/detail.html # # # Pure Air Control Services 1-800-422-7873
