Mold Forces Firefighters To Sleep In Camper
by Newsnet5.com

SYLVANIA, Ohio -- Tests start Tuesday on mold that's driven some Toledo area firefighters out of their firehouse.

Crew members have been sleeping in a camper behind Sylvania Township Fire Station No. 2 since the mold was discovered last week.

Before then, some firefighters had gotten sick. Firefighter Robin Zaletta told Toledo TV station WTOL that he suffered headaches and sinus pressure so bad that he needed surgery.

Fire Chief Tom Eisel said last weekend, a roof leak was fixed that may have caused the problem. But testing must be done to determine how bad the mold is and whether it can be removed for a reasonable amount of money.
