Austin Peay State University officials today said two residence halls on campus may have mold and have shut them down.
Students scheduled to move into Harvill Hall, which can house up to 90 students, and Blount Hall, which houses up to 125 students, are instead being relocated in local hotels.
Students started moving onto campus today. Students in the affected dorms were told to leave their personal items outside for now. Personal items will be moved into secure motel rooms today and then back to the dorms once the all-clear is given on the mold situation.
APSU officials said they expect it to take up to a week to make sure the halls are cleared of any mold.
