Mold Forces Police, Fire Department Personnel To Move

(June 12, 2006)—Temple Police Department personnel and Temple firefighters are moving temporarily out of the city’s Fire Station 7 because of mold.

According to a police department press release, personnel were moved out of the fire station Monday at 8420 West Adams Ave. after environmental tests detected mold in the building.

The fire department’s Engine 7 was temporarily reassigned to Fire Station 5 at 510 North Apache, according to the release.

Temple police moved office personnel from the station to the Central Police Department, but said the move will not mean any reduction in the number of officers working the West District or in field services to the area.
