GRAND HAVEN, Mich. An elementary school in Grand Haven is closed indefinitely due to a mold problem.
Officials say mold is growing in the walls of the Ferry Elementary School. The building is more than 80 years old.
Interim Superintendent Keith Konarska says some surface mold was treated before the holiday break but recent tests show the problem has spread. He says NO one has been harmed by the mold and environmental experts say mold spores have NOT spread into the air.
Students and staff are being relocated to the now-closed Ferrysburg Elementary School that is to be sold.
