IEQ/Mold Courses

Clearwater, FL – June 2004, Pure Air Control Services’ offers an array of educational IEQ training courses.  These comprehensive courses have been a tremendous success.  Past attendees ranged from governments, educational facilities (K-12), resorts, health care, home manufacturers, environmental consultants, to HVAC contractors, home inspectors, and industrial hygienists.


The IEQ Courses include:

·        Black Mold…A Health Concern?  – (2 hours)IEQ/Mold 101 seminar informs the attendee of the impact of mold and various bio-pollutants on the indoor environment.  Topics covered include identifying and tracking the contaminants, accredited laboratory operations, contaminant guidelines, and remediation contractor selection criteria.

·        Professional Indoor Environmental Quality Program – (1 day) training for screen testing/initial investigations of the indoor environment, includes practical (hands on) application of various sampling techniques, accredited laboratory operations, and laboratory report interpretation.

·        Advanced Indoor Environmental Training – (3 days) this comprehensive course on indoor environmental quality includes: theory (microbiology/mycology, allergens, and irritants) including indoor contaminant exposure guidelines, accredited laboratory operations/report interpretation, health implications of indoor pollutants, practical/hands-on sampling protocols, legal, and building sciences (forensic investigation strategies).  For Building Health Check Program licensees, upon successful completion of the final examination, graduates are awarded the title of Certified Indoor Environmental Technician (CIET).  This course is part of the Building Health Check Licensure program.
