Creating Mapkeys in Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0

This tip will explain how to suppress the last feature when using Mapkeys repeatedly in the same model in Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0.

Create a Mapkey as follows:

1. Select #Tools >Mapkeys >New.

2. In the "Record Mapkeys" dialog, enter key sequence >Record.

3. Select #Edit >Find in the "Search Tools" window. Enter the "Look for" as "Feature" and "Look by" as "feature." In the "History" tab, select "Last Feature." And select >Find Now.

4. In the "Search Tools" window select and move the "Items Found" to "Items Selected." Under "Items Selected," select the item/feature and select >Close.

5. Once the above steps are done, the feature selected under "Items Selected" (the last feature of the model) gets highlighted in the model tree.

6. Select the highlighted feature in the model tree, use your Right Mouse button to click on the feature and select >Suppress >Ok.

7. In the "Record Mapkeys" dialog, select >Stop >Ok.

8. In the main Pro/ENGINEER window, select #Windows >Activate.

9. After performing the above steps in the "Mapkeys" dialog, select >Save and then save the mapkeys in the config.pro file.
