Jam Packed Blue-White Weekend
Upwards of 50,000 Penn State fans are expected to tailgate around Beaver Stadium, meet some football players during the pre-game autograph session and get their first peek at the new Nittany Lion squad under Coach Bill O’Brien during the Blue-White Game. In addition to football fun, there are dozens of events all over campus Blue-White Weekend, April 20-22.

Coaches Caravan to Visit 18 Locales, 7 States
Meet new Nittany Lion football Coach Bill O’Brien and other featured Penn State head coaches when the Penn State Coaches Caravan bus tour makes its way to 18 locations in seven states during three weeks beginning April 30. At each stop, Penn Staters will have the opportunity to meet the coaches and hear about their athletic programs at a breakfast, lunch or evening event.

NCAA Two-Peat for Wrestlers
For the second year in a row, the Penn State wrestling team won the NCAA Championship. Three wrestlers are national champs, too—senior Frank Molinaro, sophomore Ed Ruth and sophomore David Taylor, who was also named “National Wrestler of the Year.” Penn State is only the fourth team in NCAA history to win back-to-back titles.

The Paterno family announced that DVDs of the Jan. 26 “A Memorial for Joe” service at the Bryce Jordan Center is now for sale, with proceeds benefiting the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania, a cause Joe and Sue Paterno strongly supported.
