Elms Live On With Collection
Of all of Penn State’s iconic symbols, none are older than the Penn State elms. Not Old Main. Not the Nittany Lion. And certainly not JoePa—who is a comparative newcomer. For some AlumnInsider readers the numbers in our “Penn State by the Numbers: 50 Fun Facts” story last month didn’t quite add up. From a dropped dorm to competing claims for oldest student group on campus to calculating Creamery cone quantities, we try to clear the air.
