BWI/DC Express Added; Big Apple Express Resumes
Getting to and from Penn State will be easier and greener starting Aug. 28 with the addition of the BWI/DC Express, departing from the bus station next to campus. This new route—with stops near Baltimore, BWI, and Washington, D.C.—joins the already-established Big Apple Express, serving northern New Jersey and New York City.

Back to the Future with Phones
Imagine sharing one phone with up to 11 other students on your dorm floor. Penn State students who lived in the residence halls through 1977 don’t need to imagine it; they lived it. Now, with current students’ near-universal use of cell phones, Penn State’s residence halls will once again feature shared hallway phones. That’s just the latest change in campus phone service since the first telephone was installed in the 1880s.

With a pre-season Top 10 ranking, excitement is building for the start of Penn State’s football season on Sept. 5. And just six weeks later, the 2009 Homecoming Committee, along with the Penn State Alumni Association, have planned a weekend to help returning alumni Remember the Lion Within, this year’s Homecoming theme.
