"Still The One"
In spite of today’s trying economic times, Penn State’s loyal alumni and friends have once again made their Penn State Alumni Association number one in membership, reaching a record high of 161,234 on June 30.
Kick Times, TV Set for 6 Football Games
With just five weeks to go until the Nittany Lions kick off their 2009 campaign, six kick times and television appearances have already been announced. Home games with Iowa, Minnesota and the game at Northwestern will air on ABC or ESPN. Three more are slated for the Big Ten Network.
A Peek at the 2009 Arts Festival
More than 125,000 annually attend the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, a nationally recognized celebration of the visual and performing arts that winds through Penn State’s University Park campus and downtown State College. Couldn’t make it? Peruse photos from the 2009 festival.
Kids Club Roars to Life
What do the Ohio State Buckeyes and Texas Longhorns have that Penn State doesn’t? A kids club for their youngest fans. But young Penn Staters near and far are gearing up for a brand new Nittany Lions Kids Club that launches later this month.

Your Penn State Alumni Association just topped the 161,000-member mark on June 30 when we took our annual snapshot of membership numbers, setting another record and securing our status as the largest dues-paying alumni association in the world. Beyond the glory of being No. 1, it means that even in these tough economic times, alumni the world over continue to find value in being part of the “Penn State Family” through membership in the Alumni Association.

Alumni Association Updates BOT
The Penn State Alumni Association reported to the Penn State Board of Trustees at its July meeting that despite the challenging economic environment its membership has increased by nearly 500 and a new revenue-generating program has far surpassed its first-year goal.
Calling LGBT Alums and Allies
After years of inactivity, Penn Staters are rekindling the Alumni Association interest group for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) alumni and allies. Organizers are currently looking for alumni interested in joining and helping them shape the group’s future.
