Nittany Lion Inn Seeks Lobby Artwork Proposals
Artists have a chance to leave their mark on one of Penn State’s most beloved
landmarks, The Nittany Lion Inn, and receive $10,000 in the process. As part
of the Inn’s latest renovations, Penn State is sponsoring a national competition
to select a painting or bas-relief for installation in its highly traveled
lobby.

University Park’s towering elm trees—one of the country's nicest stands of American elms—are as familiar to Penn Staters as Joe Paterno and ice cream.
But a deadly disease could eliminate the stately elms from campus in just
a few years. Penn State researchers, arborists, and landscape planners are
in a race to save the trees.
