The planners of the Orange County (California) Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association know a good party starts with a theme. Nearly 20 years ago, they thought Pennsylvania transplants living in Southern California might enjoy a taste of home—a Pennsylvania Dutch dinner. The dinner has become an annual, signature event for the chapter, drawing 70 Penn State alumni and friends to this year’s dinner in April.
