[ A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ]
For me, it was the most intense but invigorating day of the year: Saturday, May 21, the centerpiece of our three-day Alumni Leadership Conference. Some 113 alumni volunteer leaders from chapters, college and campus constituent societies, and alumni interest groups converged on University Park from San Diego, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Tucson, Miami, Washington, D.C., New York, Philadelphia, Hartford, Boston, Burlington, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Chicago, Denver, and everywhere in between.

The Penn State Crew AIG gathered in Philadelphia May 13-14 to support and cheer Penn State crew as it competed at the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta, the crew national championships.

McKeesport Alumni Society Donates $25,000, Completing Funding for Campus Nittany Lion Shrine
More than five years of hard work by the Penn State McKeesport Alumni Society has literally paid off as the alumni society recently presented a $25,000 check to McKeesport Campus Executive Director Curtiss E. Porter to pay for the McKeesport Alumni Society Nittany Lion Shrine.

Retired Associate Athletic Director Perry Honored With Lionís Paw Award
Ellen Perry, Penn State's longtime coach and athletic administrator, was honored by the Lion's Paw Alumni Association as the 2005 recipient of the Lion's Paw Medal. The annual award, established in 1965, honors individuals who have contributed notable service to Penn State, especially by fostering worthwhile traditions or by enhancing student life.
