Coaches Caravan to Visit 18 Locales, 7 States

Meet new Nittany Lion football Coach Bill O’Brien and other featured Penn State head coaches when the Penn State Coaches Caravan bus tour makes its way to 18 locations in seven states during three weeks beginning April 30. At each stop, Penn Staters will have the opportunity to meet the coaches and hear about their athletic programs at a breakfast, lunch or evening event.

First-year Coach O’Brien is scheduled to participate in all 18 Coaches Caravan stops and will be joined by several other Penn State head coaches on the tour, including Nittany Lion basketball Coach Patrick Chambers and Lady Lion basketball Coach Coquese Washington.

The Penn State Coaches Caravan, jointly sponsored by the Penn State Alumni Association and the Nittany Lion Club, kicks off April 30 in Philadelphia and will visit 18 Nittany Nation strongholds throughout Pennsylvania and the East Coast. The stops are:

April 30 Philadelphia (lunch)
  Drexel Hill, Pa. (evening)
May 1 Baltimore (lunch)
  Washington, D.C. (evening)
May 2 Richmond, Va. (breakfast)
  Harrisburg/Hershey, Pa. (evening)
May 8 Penn State Hazleton (lunch)
  Allentown, Pa. (evening)
May 9 Woodbridge, N.J. (lunch)
  New York City (evening)
May 10 Hartford, Conn. (lunch)
  Scranton, Pa. (evening)
May 14 Penn State Altoona (breakfast)
  Pittsburgh (evening)
May 15 Youngstown, Ohio (lunch)
  Cleveland (evening)
May 16 Erie, Pa. (lunch)
  Buffalo, N.Y. (evening)

Complete details and registration information for each stop on the Penn State Coaches Caravan tour will be available and announced soon. Penn State Alumni Association members and Nittany Lion Club members will have first chance to register next week before the events are opened to the general public.
