Get the inside skinny and some blue-and-white insight with a new blog written by the staff of The Penn Stater magazine. The daily or so posts discuss all things Penn State from snowy days on campus to THON to the magazine’s new senior editor.
The Penn Stater editors launched the blog as a way of communicating with readers between issues of the magazine. Written in a casual, personal tone, the blog entries offer sneak previews of magazine content, the staff’s take on campus events, and stories about Penn Staters in the news.
Readers of the magazine blog were among the first, for example, to read the annual review of Super Bowl ads written by Bob Garfield ’77 of Advertising Age magazine. Blog readers also got a behind-the-scenes look at the photo shoot for the March-April cover, learned that Penn Stater Tom Verducci ’82 had coauthored Joe Torre’s new book The Yankee Years, and heard about the thoughts of presidential scholar Meena Bose ’90 on President Barack Obama’s inaugural address.
