Remember Lucy Van Pelt from Charles Schulz’s comic strip Peanuts?
For five cents, Lucy dispensed advice to Charlie Brown, Linus, Schroeder, Sally,
Snoopy, and the other comic strip characters. Alumni Career Services will be
hosting its own version of the “Lucy booth” with free career counseling
on home football Saturdays this fall.
The Career “Lucy Booth” is an informal way to get a little advice
while getting to know the helpful people, programs, and services of Alumni
Career Services. Employers interested in hiring Penn Staters are also welcome
to stop by to find out how Alumni Career Services can assist them with recruiting qualified Penn Staters.
Alumni Career Services will hold career “Lucy Booths” on each home
football Saturday, generally beginning three hours prior to kickoff:
- Sept. 16 12:30 p.m.
- Sept. 30 TBA
- Oct. 14 12:30 p.m.
- Oct. 21 TBA
- Nov. 11 TBA
- Nov. 18 TBA
From help with resumes to interviewing and networking workshops or career
counseling advice, Alumni Career Services helps hundreds of Penn Staters each
year. Learn more about the programs and services available to both students
and alumni by stopping by Penn State’s beautiful Bank of America Career
Services Center, located on Bigler Road across from McCoy Natatorium home football
Saturdays this fall. Light refreshments will also be served.
