Fans can help the cause and meet Bradley and Posluszny at the Big 33’s “Tailgate with the Lions,” Feb. 15 at the Radisson Penn Harris in Camp Hill, Pa. The fund-raising dinner will also feature a silent auction of sports memorabilia and an opportunity for photos and autographs with Bradley and Posluszny.
Among football fans, the Big 33 is famed for its annual Football Classic game, which pits the best 33 high school football players from Pennsylvania against the best 33 from Ohio. During the past 49 years, many of these Big 33 players have gone on to successful Penn State careers and many to NFL careers. Big 33 and Penn State alumni include Heisman Trophy winner John Cappelletti ’74, Matt Millen ’80 (who is president and CEO of the Detroit Lions), Kerry Collins ’94, and Kyle Brady ’95.
Since 1985, the Big 33 has raised more than $3 million for academic scholarships awarded to high school seniors throughout Pennsylvania and Ohio.
Tickets to the Big 33’s “Tailgate with the Lions” are available at www.big33.org for $100 per person or $700 for a table of 10.
