With the support of the Penn State Alumni Association, Penn State and the State College Area School District will again be sponsoring a traditional American Indian powwow. Featuring American Indian drum, dance, and food, the traditional powwow is a contemporary social gathering and celebration of community.

This year’s event will be held Apr. 9–10 at the Mount Nittany Middle School (at Highways 322 and 45) in State College. The event will include American Indian vendors offering arts and crafts items. Doors open at 10 a.m. with Grand Entry scheduled for 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.

Details are also available on the Web at http://www.powwow.psu.edu.
