Q: Does the sundial on the Old Main lawn mark the geographic center of Pennsylvania?
A: No. The geographic center of Pennsylvania is near Aaronsburg, along Pa. Route 45 about 25 miles east of the University Park campus. The sundial is a gift of the senior class of 1915 and was presented that same year. It holds no geographic significance.
