The Recognition Program of the Penn State Alumni Association acknowledges outstanding individuals who have distinguished themselves through volunteer service to the University or through success in their personal and professional lives. It honors individuals and programs by recognizing service and achievement and by giving award recipients the opportunity to share their knowledge while serving as role models for the Penn State community.
Under the guidance of the Awards Committee of Alumni Council, the affiliate group awards have been modified to make all affiliate groups eligible for any group award. Additionally, new categories have been added—such as the communications and Web site awards.
Nominations are also being accepted for the following individual awards:
Diversity, Philip Philip Mitchell Alumni Service, Volunteer of the Year, and Recent Alumnus/Alumna. These awards are bestowed upon one person annually and each has different criteria.
For more information on all affiliate group and individual awards and the criteria used for selecting recipients, visit http://www.alumni.psu.edu/awards/default.htm and follow the appropriate link.
The deadline for nominations is April 30 and nomination forms can be submitted online at http://www.alumni.psu.edu/awards/forms/default.htm. If you have any questions about the awards program or the nomination process, please contact the Volunteer Management unit of the Alumni Association at 800-548-5466, option 3, or alumni-relations@psu.edu.
