Where did the name “Beaver Stadium” come from?
Penn State’s Beaver Stadium—the nation’s second-largest college football facility—is named in honor of General James A. Beaver, a former Pennsylvania governor and University Trustee. Beaver also served as acting University President from 1906 to 1908.
