Penn State kicks off yearlong sesquicentennial celebration
Resolutions in both houses of Congress, a message from the governor, the unveiling of a new historical marker, and the introduction of a new Creamery ice cream flavor all marked the kickoff of Penn State’s sesquicentennial celebration. University officials gathered with alumni, students, and friends on Thursday, July 8, to open a yearlong celebration marking the University’s 150th anniversary.

Association members elect newcomers, incumbents to Alumni Council
Votes have been counted and the results of the Alumni Council election are in. Eight new members and two incumbents have been elected to serve three-year terms on the Association’s governing board. Association President Marianne E. Alexander ’62 appointed three additional alumni to serve on Council.
