Professional Women’s Network of New York: “Hot Topics” forum tackles burning issues for professional women
Its appeal to women is similar to that of Oprah or the Oxygen network. Through an atmosphere of support, understanding, and reciprocity, the Professional Women’s Network of New York highlights issues that are important to women. The organization—an Alumni Interest Group of the Penn State Alumni Association—serves as a network for women who work and live in the New York metropolitan area. Its latest event, “Hot Topics,” took an in-depth look at office politics and the difficulties sometimes faced by women in the workforce.

N.Y.C. and Long Island chapters receive special art exhibit tour
Members of the New York City and Long Island chapters of the Penn State Alumni Association recently attended Penn State professor John Bowman's solo art exhibit at the Winston Wachter Mayer Fine Art gallery in New York City. Bowman took the chapter members on a personal tour of the exhibit. Members enjoyed a casual lunch following the gallery visit.
