Alumni Center is ideal venue for alumni group meetings and events
Since its dedication in April 2001, the Hintz Family Alumni Center has played a central role in the activities of alumni and the University. During its brief history, the Center has hosted thousands of events, including more than 800 last year. From alumni group meetings to presentations by foreign dignitaries, the entire Penn State family is finding the Center to be an ideal venue for a wide variety of events.

Traditional powwow offers special volunteer opportunities
With the support of the Penn State Alumni Association, Penn State and the State College Area School District will again be sponsoring a traditional American Indian powwow. This year’s event, entitled “New Faces of an Ancient People,” will be held April 3-4 at the Mount Nittany Middle School (656 Brandywine Dr.) in State College, and volunteer opportunities are still available.

Staff member Dan Genard leaves Association ranks for Development position
Associate Director of Volunteer Management Dan Genard ’93 Lib has left the Alumni Association to accept a position in the Office of University Development. Effective March 1, Dan assumed his new role as Smeal College’s associate director of development.
