Penn State Alumni Association Membership @ 177,307
As of the close of the fiscal year on June 30, the Penn State Alumni Association’s annual snapshot of membership numbers showed another year of growth, increasing from 174,379 to 177,307—a gain of 2,928 members or 1.7 percent.

Alumnus Establishes Endowment for Away Game Pep Rallies
Building on his philanthropic commitment to Penn State, an alumnus has created the David Dapko and Jason Cook Endowment for Alumni Association Away Game Pep Rallies. The endowment will ensure that alumni, students, fans and friends of Penn State continue to network and stay connected when the Lions take the field outside of Happy Valley.

Submit Creamery Memories; Anniversary Flavor to Debut During Arts Festival
The Penn State Berkey Creamery’s special anniversary flavor was chosen last month, and the wait is almost over to sample the new menu addition. The winning flavor will debut next weekend during the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts. Other celebration plans are scheduled during Arts Festival—including an attempt at a three-day sales record—and a collectible Flavor Passport.

History and Traditions
Historic Faculty Cottages Serve New (And Surprising) Purpose
Built before 1900 on Penn State’s University Park campus, Pine Cottage and Spruce Cottage originally served as on-campus residences for faculty. Over the years, the cottages also housed a sorority, and academic and administrative offices. And wait until you hear what the buildings are used for now. Hint: It’s probably not what you think.
