PR: Dead or Alive?
Last month, Erika Taylor Montgomery joined us to discuss the current state of public relations. Erika gave us some great insight into how social media has affected public relations, as well as a few examples of successful campaigns she has worked on.
 
We asked our audience if they still use the traditional press release. 33.3% say, yes, it is a great way to gain exposure and drive SEO. 55.6% say they sometimes use press releases and 11.1% say no, the traditional press release is dead.
 
Our readers also weighed in on how social media has affected the way they publicize information about their company. 50% say they now communicate news through a much wider variety of channels. 33.3% say social media has had somewhat of an affect on their pr efforts and 16.7% say social media has not affected their pr efforts.
