Portland Volvo Customer Appreciation Day
A Wonderful Day For All
A wonderful day was had by visitors and participants who enjoyed over 30 cars entered in the VCOA Maine chapter car show, and an all day BBQ. The Volvo Heritage Collection also drew the attention of our guests. Many treated their cars to a Free 27 point inspection, which gave owners the opportunity to meet and discuss their cars with our technicians and see a side of their vehicle they have never seen before - the underside. The day ended with the awards ceremony for the each category winner in the car show. Congratulations to Holly Stump from Massachusetts, winning best in show and best in class with her 1964 P210 Duett (pictured).

The World of the Grizzly Man
Werner Herzog explores the life and death of Timothy Treadwell.
In 2005, award-winning filmmaker Werner Herzog released a documentary about one of the most eccentric nature enthusiasts the world has ever known: Timothy Treadwell. For 13 consecutive years, Treadwell traveled to Alaska during the summer months to live among the bears. Compassionate, yet emotionally fragile, Treadwell became known as the Grizzly Man, filming all of his interactions in a very personal video diary. In 2003, Treadwell’s adventure ended when he was fatally mauled by a hungry bear. The camera was rolling the whole time.
