This midsize crossover SUV has a folding 3rd-row seat and 2nd-row bucket seats. The 2nd-row offers three-passenger capacity and includes a de center padded seat section that folds and stows in a 1st-row console when not in use. Most Highlanders offer a choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

 

The 2008 Highlander offers Base, Sport, Limited, and gas/electric Hybrid models. Base models come with a new 187-hp 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine. Optional on the Base and standard on Sport and Limited is a 270-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine. The 4-cylinder pairs with a 6-speed automatic transmission, while V6 versions houses 5-speed automatic.
