Vehicle Details: 2016 Chrysler Town & Country Advantages
The minivan that all other brands continue to chase

With nearly 80 minivan innovations, the Chrysler Town & Country, on sale now here at Perkins Motors in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is the leader in the segment. For 2016, the Town & Country continues its dominance with a new model that celebrates the Chrysler brand’s 90th anniversary.

The 2016 Town & Country is available in six trim levels: LX, Touring, S, Touring-L, Limited and Platinum. The LX (MSRP $29,995) is a bargain, especially when you consider its long list of standard equipment. While its base MSRP is slightly higher than those of the Honda Odyssey and the Toyota Sienna, it gives you more for the money and costs thousands less when those competitors are comparably equipped.

Starting under the hood, the Town & Country provides best-in-class horsepower and torque − 283 and 260 lb/ft respectively − more than the Sienna, Odyssey, Nissan Quest and Kia Sedona. Fuel economy is an EPA-estimated 25 mpg highway, impressive for a minivan that can tow 3,600 pounds, again besting the competition.

As mentioned before, the innovations Chrysler is responsible for are numerous, and there are still so many things the Town & Country offers that you can’t get on the competition. The biggest may be the Stow n’ Go seating and storage system, which allows for the second- and third-row seats to fold directly into the floor. The Town & Country can swallow up to 143.8 cubic feet of cargo space, more than the Sedona and the Quest. The third-row seat can also be flipped to face rearward, too, making the Town & Country the perfect tailgate companion. The Town & Country also features a super console with two power outlets and the capacity to hold one-liter bottles of water. Little things like that continue to help Chrysler stay ahead.

Abundant standard and available safety features also distance the Town & Country from the competition. The SafetyTec™ package adds items like rain-sensing windshield wipers, ParkSense® rear park assist and Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path Detection. This package is standard or available on all but the entry trim, making the advanced safety equipment accessible at a far more attainable price point. Other minivans leave technologies like that for only the most expensive trim levels.

The Town & Country is the only minivan that comes standard with a power liftgate and dual power sliding doors, the ParkView rear backup camera, and leather seating. Leather seating isn’t available in the Odyssey unless you drop $35,925 for the EX-L trim.

The Town & Country is the minivan to choose if you’re looking for the award-winning Uconnect® infotainment system and a dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system with Blu-ray™ capability. You’ll also find an impressive list of available features like second-row heated seats, a heated steering wheel, Nappa leather upholstery, and High Intensity Discharge headlamps. The Town & Country is also the only minivan that offers an “S” trim with a blacked out appearance for some serious attitude.

In their review, Consumer Guide editors said the Town & Country is “quiet, rides smoothly, and boasts an interior that's notably nicer than [competitors]. Add to all this the convenience of its Stow 'n Go seating, and you have a minivan that strikes a great balance between luxury and versatility."

The 2016 Town & Country continues the long legacy of Chrysler minivan excellence, and it remains the best choice when you’re looking for value, luxury and performance. Stop by today to find out more.
