Chrysler vehicles feature striking design, cutting-edge technologies and lots of luxury amenities. In addition, Chrysler provides drivers with some of the best safety features that are available on the market today.
The all-new Chrysler 200 Sedan offers the most standard safety and security features in its class and sets the tone for what’s to come for the brand. Most new automobiles today are safer than anything made even 10 years ago, but some automakers just take things a step further, and Chrysler is one of them. The list of features that come standard on the 200 includes Electronic Stability Control, which has been proven to reduce the number of vehicle crashes since it was created; Traction Control; eight airbags, including knee-bolster bags; antilock brakes with Brake Assist; and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System.
An available SafetyTec™ Package adds a host of advances driver assistance features. Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go is part of the package. It helps keep a safe distance from the car in front of you, and it can both speed up and slow down in the event of traffic changes. Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection are also part of the group and help take the guesswork out of lane changes and backing up out of parking spots. Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist are extremely useful, and both rain-sensing windshield wipers, which automatically turn on with precipitation, and SmartBeam™ headlamps, which switch automatically from high- to low-beams when oncoming traffic approaches, are also part of the package.
The Chrysler Town & Country minivan includes the LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) system that makes installing child car seats a breeze. It features a strong steel cage with both front and rear crush zones, and seven airbags, including advanced multistage front airbags and all-row side-curtain airbags, keep occupants safe in the event of a collision. A “5 Star” side crash rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) was earned, as well. As with the 200 Sedan, the Town & Country is available with its own SafetyTec™ Package that adds the ParkSense Rear Park Assist system and plenty of other goodies.
The premium Chrysler 300 Sedan earned a “5 Star Overall” rating from the NHTSA. Every 300 comes standard with seven airbags, a strong safety shell, Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control, antilock brakes and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System. The Available all-wheel drive system helps improve traction and handling year-round, especially in poor weather conditions. A SafetyTec™ package is available for the 300, too.
