Throughout the year, the Patrick Dealer Group continuously supports and promotes awareness of The Children’s Place Association, a non-profit Chicago-based charity that provides resources including daycare, housing assistance and other social services to families affected by HIV and AIDS.  To keep within the spirit of giving, Patrick is setting up a Giving Tree at the Cadillac showroom, located at 526 Mall Dr. in Schaumburg, to bring holiday cheer to these families.  Patrick is encouraging all of its customers and employees to support this wonderful cause and join them in granting children’s holiday wishes this year.

‘Tis the season to be giving, which is why we are again collecting non-perishable food items at our BMW and Volvo Service centers to benefit the Schaumburg Food Pantry.  As always, we are dedicated to helping those less fortunate in and outside of our community. 

To help make the season brighter for both you and those less fortunate in our community Patrick BMW/MINI is asking customers to bring in any new, unwrapped toy for a child by December 15^th or you could bring in 5 non-perishable food items by February 28^th and receive 10% off your service bill or 15% off any BMW lifestyle or MINI Motoring Gear boutique or accessory item.

The BMW 3 Series is one of the cars to top Car and Driver’s 2007 10 Best Cars List.

The 3 Series is no stranger to this list.  In 1992, the 325i made the list because of its 2.5-liter six-cylinder engine and the impressive 0-60 mph in 6.9 seconds.  The 335i was named to the list because of its 300-hp twin turbo 3.0-liter version of the classic six.  It goes from 0-60 in 4.8 seconds and corners at 0.89g while offering more luxury and space and delivering better fuel economy than its predecessors. 

The distinctively re-designed Saab 9-3 arrived at Patrick Saab in October of 2007.  This car is visually distinguished by the all-new bodywork, including new bumpers, light assemblies for front and rear as well as new doors and handles for the Sport Sedan and SportCombi.  Flared side sill extensions have become standard across the range.  Over 70 percent of the external body panels and parts are new.  All of these combined elements give the car a clearer Saab identity and a bolder more assertive stance. 

In the fall of 2007, Volvo’s latest and smallest creation hit our showroom floor with full force, and the response has been outstanding! The all new C30 is a sporty car with high tech features that is capturing a whole new Volvo customer. Car and Driver is calling it “Jaw dropping Swedish Style” and “Volvo safety at a lower entry price”. Edmunds.com says, “The new 2008 Volvo C30 is one of few Volvos that can be awarded the title of cool.”

Due to arrive at the Patrick MINI showroom in mid-February 2008 is the long-awaited MINI Cooper Clubman S, the third body style to join the MINI lineup.  Little distinguishes the longer, roomier MINI’s driving experience from that of the standard MINI.  None of the coupe’s quick reflexes, playful nature, or overall MINI-ness is diminished.  The only difference is space: 3.2 inches more wheelbase (which yields an equal bump in rear legroom), 9.6 inches of increased overall length, and a cargo hold that grows 24.0 to 32.6 cubic feet with the rear seats folded.  Plus there are a few more doors.  From the driver’s seat, you’ll hardly know there’s more MINI behind you, but your rear-seat passengers, pets, surfboards, and shopping bags will really appreciate the extra room. 

It’s no surprise that small, economical cars dominate the list of the ten lowest-priced new vehicles for the 2007 model year, but while most of these inexpensive cars do not carry a lot of amenities, many in this range feature extensive safety equipment. 

Hyundai has come a long way since first coming to America 20 years ago.  The Korean car company topped, for the first time, all other automakers in the number of vehicles receiving the highest score in its category, according to the 2007 Total Quality Index (TQI) Awards from the automotive consulting firm Strategic Vision. 

Hyundai Motor Company says it will launch a luxury car in the United States next year.  The rear-drive model, code-named BH, will be built in South Korea on a new platform, company spokesman Oles Gadacz says.  It will be slotted above the upscale V-6 Hyundai Azera sedan and will have a V-8 engine.
