The engineers at BMW must have had Chicago in mind when they designed the 2010 BMW X6 M because it is the perfect fusion of sports car coupe and winter capable crossover. Great for zipping up and down the Kennedy in January or July, the X6 M is almost absurdly fast, comfortable, and attractive. It even looks more like a sports car than a crossover. In fact, it behaves more like one too, capable of hitting 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds.
This car takes an M performance package and crosses it with the space of a sports activity vehicle and all-wheel drive. It is one thing to hop in a tiny sports car and go really fast, but it is another experince altogether to do so in an SUV-style vehicle. This is what BMW is offering with the 2010 X6 M and X5 M models.

The exterior attitude compliments the speedometer that goes shows 180 mph. The X6 M is powered by a 4.4-liter direct injected V8 with twin-turbo chargers and if that sounds powerful, that’s because it is. Forget the Porsche Cayenne, the
X6 M is the most powerful version of a crossover you can buy.
Starting at $85,400, the X6 M boasts standard features that include an adaptive sport suspension, 20-inch alloy wheels, heated front M sport seats and aluminum interior trim elements.
Considering our Chicago winters, we wouldn’t be surprised if the X6 M was declared the official sports car of Chicago. We finally have a solution to owning an ultimate performance machine during all Midwestern seasons.
