Roadside Assistance Available for MINI Drivers at the Touch of a Button
It makes sense that savvy and ahead-of-the curve technology should debut in the MINI automobile market.  MINI recently announced the introduction of a free app for MINI owners that enables access to roadside assistance with the touch of an icon. Developed by Allstate Roadside Services, the new app allows drivers to request roadside services while automatically supplying the service provider with all of the relevant information about the vehicle including its exact location.

Available for iPhone and select Blackberry users, the MINI Mobile Assist application eliminates the hassle and need for lengthy conversations about vital vehicle information and location. This app utilizes Global Positioning System (GPS) technology, pinpointing a caller's location which allows customer service representatives to determine the nearest available service provider. Once a near-by service provider is confirmed, the mobile app delivers the appropriate information to the driver, including the service provider's name and an estimated time of arrival. Once the service ticket has been closed, there is an automated service follow-up to ensure that the issue has been resolved.

The Roadside Assist app can be downloaded to an iPhone or compatible Blackberry device from Allstate’s Roadside services website. Step-by-step instructions guide users to enter their Vehicle I.D. (VIN), name, address and other details. It is even possible to upload a photo of their MINI. When a MINI owner needs roadside help, they simply launch the app, select their service need and press the "call" button. Their user information, vehicle location and service need are all transmitted automatically to customer service representatives, saving valuable time to get them motoring again as quickly as possible.
