Vehicle sets a new world record for fuel efficiency
When professional drivers Wayne Gerdes and Chris Bernius embarked on what they hoped would be a record-setting journey around the United States, they didn’t go empty-handed. Along with their Kia Optima Hybrid, they took with them some knowledge about improving their car’s fuel efficiency, and it worked. Gerdes and Bernius set a Guinness Book of World Records mark by traveling 7,899 miles on only 5.5 tanks of gas.
