Are you ready for some laughs? The major television networks will introduce an eclectic group of sitcoms this fall. Here’s a preview of some of the most talked about shows seeking your laughs.

 

A single mom welcomes her brother back to town to help raise her daughter. Directed by Jake Kasdan (Bad Teacher), the show features funny lines and situations between the overly responsible single mother and the brother who never grew up. Each must step out of their comfort zone and the result creates more than a few laughs along the way.

 

Surrounded by goofy and quirky co-workers, this romantic comedy is about a single obstetrician in her 30s who faces many challenges in her personal and professional life. Mindy Kaling, known for her role as Kelly Kapoor in The Office, plays the character Mindy Lahiri in this new show.

 

Matthew Perry, who played Chandler in Friends, stars as a wisecracking sportscaster who ends up in mandatory group therapy. The support group tries their best to help Perry move on from a loss in his life. The pilot was written by former Friends writer Scott Silveri.

 

This show is about a blended family that encompasses a gay couple played by Justin Bartha (The Hangover) and Andrew Rannells (The Book of Mormon), and the woman who becomes their surrogate. Ellen Barkin is also part of the cast.

 

Comedian Jimmy Fallon is the executive producer on this comedy about three 30-something dads trying to hold on to their youth and raise babies at the same time. They desperately try to remain hip and happening dudes while changing diapers, feeding babies and keeping the house clean.

 

The network is promoting this show as “a veterinarian’s office comedy with plenty of horsing around.” The show revolves around Dr. George Coleman, a big-time New York veterinarian, who relates to animals in many special ways. In one classic interaction, Coleman plays poker with a resident chimpanzee.

 

The Weaver family moves into their dream community complete with a gated entrance, beautiful townhouses and a golf course. They can’t believe their luck at securing a house in the neighborhood, but they soon discover their neighbors are a bit different. In fact, the entire community is inhabited by aliens from a place called Zabvron.
