It’s where sophistication meets power. The 2010 Volkswagen CC four-door coupe melds together luxury and under-the-hood power to create a ride that will make you the envy of every driver on the block. The CC is ready to be noticed.
The CC stands for “Comfort Coupe,” and that’s exactly what it is. Sharing similar features with the Passat, the CC sports sleek lines and stunning visual appeal. There are four available trims: Sport, Luxury, VR6 Sport and VR6 4Motion™.
Standard features on all trims include a “Comfort” heatable, 12-way adjustable power driver’s seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, a sport suspension and an eight-speaker premium stereo with in-dash six-CD changer and MP3 compatibility. The Luxury trim adds a power panorama sunroof, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, leather seating and armrest, a self-dimming rearview mirror, rain-sensing windshield wipers and Climatronic dual-zone automatic climate control.
The VR6 Sport upgrades the audio system to a Dynaudio premium sound system and adds bi-xenon headlights. When you choose the VR6 4Motion, all-wheel drive is standard.
Under the hood, the 2010 Volkswagen CC features either of two engines. A 2.0-liter DOHC inline four-cylinder with fuel injection and exhaust turbocharger that generates 200 hp and 207 lb/ft of torque is the standard powerplant in Sport and Luxury models. For the VR6 Sport and 4Motion trims, the engine is a 2.6-liter FSI V6 that punches out an impressive 280 hp and 265 lb/ft of torque. Thanks to the sport-tuned suspension, passengers are isolated from harsh impacts.
With the 2.0-liter engine and either six-speed manual or six-speed Tiptronic automatic, the Sport gets an EPA-estimated 21 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.
The CC’s exterior exudes sophistication, making it one of the most eye-catching four-doors on the road. Its chrome grille gives it a distinctive look and from there, it only gets better with its sloped roofline and tapered rear end.
The inside is just as visually appealing with high-quality materials and well-designed controls. Two-tone seats are available on every trim level and the Multi-Function Indicator (MFI) lets you know when you’re running low on fuel, how far you’ve traveled and even the engine temperature. The CC is luxury and technology blended together perfectly.
Volkswagen loads the CC with safety standard features including six airbags, antilock brakes, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Engine Braking Assist (EBA) and pinch protection on power windows.
Try this exciting and luxurious four-door coupe and see what’s making people talk! The 2010 Volkswagen CC has a base MSRP of $27,100.
