SB 100 Required and Recommended Policies and Procedures

SB 100 requires associations to make certain changes to how they operate, including the adoption of seven written policies and procedures by January 1, 2006.  Click here for required policies and procedures.  In addition to these seven required policies, SB 100's new requirements make adopting additional written policies and procedures highly advisable to avoid conflict and confusion.  Click here for recommended policies and procedures.

To assist associations in complying with SB 100’s policy and procedure requirements, Orten & Hindman has developed a flexible fee schedule with several options to meet the needs of individual associations.  Such options include having an attorney draft the seven required policies for an association, providing a board with a standard policy form and guidelines for those who prefer to write their own policies and procedures, or drafting individual policies for those associations who may already have a few of the required policies and procedures. Orten & Hindman has also developed a similar fee schedule for the policies and procedures we strongly recommend associations adopt in light of SB 100’s new requirements.  Additionally, if none of these options fit the unique needs of your association, we will be happy to discuss other possible options.
