The Ever-Popular O&H Boot Camps Inform and Educate Board Members and Managers on Ever-Changing HOA Trends and Law

This year we have revised our Boot Camp content to allow more time for the vital components of these workshops. Boot Camp Part 1, which is being offered on Tuesday, January 15 in Wheat Ridge, will still focus on “Understanding Your Legal Duties and Responsibilities and Avoiding Liability.” This workshop covers fiduciary duties of board members and safeguards that associations should implement to reduce the likelihood of the association and board members incurring liability. To register, simply click here.

Boot Camp Part 2 is now focused on “Understanding Your Governing Documents & Applicable Laws.” This workshop covers the various governing documents in an association, amending documents (when and how), and an overview of state and federal laws that apply to associations. To register, simply click here.

One of our most popular workshops is Boot Camp Part 3, Successful Covenant and Rule Enforcement. In this seminar we discuss how to draft and enforce rules and architectural guidelines, and how to obtain compliance with existing covenants and rules through the use of fines, self-help, and lawsuits. To register, simply click here.

Once a part of Boot Camp Part 2, “Governing Your Association Lawfully and Effectively” will now make up Boot Camp Part 4. This session covers how to run effective and productive meetings, the differences between (and reasons for) closed and open sessions, how to conduct closed meetings that comply with the law, corporate formalities, and statutes that associations must comply with as well as policies and procedures to govern effectively. To register, simply click here.
