Boot Camp Part 2 is now focused on “Understanding Your Governing Documents & Applicable Laws.” This workshop covers the various governing documents in an association, amending documents (when and how), and an overview of state and federal laws that apply to associations. Once a part of Boot Camp Part 2, “Governing Your Association Lawfully and Effectively” will now make up Boot Camp Part 4. This session covers how to run effective and productive meetings, the differences between (and reasons for) closed and open sessions, how to conduct closed meetings that comply with the law, corporate formalities, and statutes that associations must comply with as well as policies and procedures to govern effectively.
