The Power of Friendship

About the Event

On Thursday, October 14, Frontline Outreach’s 11th Annual Benefit Luncheon for Children will offer an opportunity to prove the program’s theme – The Power of Friendship. Orange County’s elected officials will serve the noon meal at 3000 C. R. Smith Street. Participation in the event will help equip urban youth for success and service to the next generation through Frontline’s early education and leadership programs.

Walt Disney World Resort President Al Weiss will serve as host and WESH Channel 2’s Amanda Ober, News Anchor/Reporter, will emcee. Featured gospel-recording vocalist is Tonya Baker. The event celebrates business support of urban children through Frontline Outreach.

Who does it benefit?

Previous luncheons have raised more than seven hundred thousand dollars for Orlando’s inner city children. The funds supply scholarships for hundreds of urban students enrolled in Frontline’s world-class programs. Proceeds also enabled the ministry to make almost a full renovation of their active campus in recent years.

Who is involved?

The following headline 50 distinguished city, county and state officials who are on the host committee: U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson; U.S. Rep. Tom Feeney; Secretary of State Glenda Hood; and County Mayor Rich Crotty.

How can I participate?

Tickets can be ordered by calling (407) 293-3000, extension 206.
